Holy Name and Our Lady Immaculate parishes in Chelmsford hosted the diocesan World AIDS Day Mass last night.Parish Contact Martin Humphries organised A Mass to Remember the effects of HIV/AIDS on Families and Children. There was a powerful act of solidarity when those gathered were invited to pin red ribbons to a cross on the altar. Beautiful music enhanced the Mass.
Denise and Joanna gave a talk on the work of CAFOD where they are supporting 150 HIV projects in 24 countries and Davina Bolt from the Commission for Justice & Social Responsibility wrote and read the bidding prayers.
We would like to thank Martin, the musicians, Fr Hugh and Fr Ivor and everyone who attended or input into the Mass.
