Canon Palmer High School in Seven Kings, Essex, raised £1000 with a non-uniform day in support of Lent Fast Day. The cheque was presented at a Year 7 assembly.

Spotting the flag of Brazil hanging in the hall (from an International Evening held the night before) Denise spoke briefly about the recycling project in Recife that was the focus of this year’s Lent Fast Day. She then congratulated the school on the wonderful amount and said how it is more important than ever, with the current financial crisis, for schools to maintain their fundraising efforts.
