Brentwood schools say “the climate is in our hands”!

Eight schools from across the Diocese came together at Brentwood
Ursuline High School to take part in the CJSR (Commission for Justice & Social Responsibility) Schools Day for Justice & Peace. Workshops included Pax Christi, ECCR and CAFOD.

The day was called “Open to Change?” and it was hoped that the workshops would give the students an opportunity to find out more about injustices happening around the world and how they can take Justice & Peace back to their schools.

The CAFOD workshop looked at campaigning and in particular the Climate Justice campaign. At the end of each workshop students put their hand prints on a giant banner that will be sent to Gordon Brown in the run up to the UN talks in Copenhagen.
