St Angela's and St Bonaventure's with Mgr John Armitage

Sixth formers from Ilford Ursuline, St Angela’s and St Bonaventure’s joined more than 100 students from 13 schools and two parishes in Oxford for the ‘Leading for a Change’ conference, run by CAFOD and The Las Casas Institute at Blackfriars Hall.

With Catholic Social Teaching input from top theologian Julie Clague and hands-on activist Mgr John Armitage as well as practical workshops from inspiring young leaders, the day culminated in the groups presenting action plans and taking some quiet time to reflect through a Romero-themed prayer.

Purple Flame did a brilliant job filming the conference and editing it into a short film which got lots of appreciation – you can watch it on CAFODtv

We will be keeping our eyes open for stories of what’s been done as a result!
