Brentwood schools and youth events Act on Poverty

Aylesford Youth Festival 2010

The CAFOD Brentwood office had a busy couple of weeks towards the end of term with a number of visits to schools and youth events. In all, 284 young people have supported Act on Poverty!

You can find reports from all the visits here

The campaign is urging our government to Act on Poverty by:

– pushing for a fair climate change deal at the UN
– honouring their commitment to spend 0.7 per cent of national income on aid by 2013
– ensuring businesses are accountable to people in poor countries affected by their operations

CAFOD is looking to collect 10,000 messages by 10.10.10 – and we are on target to reach this.

Email Prime Minister David Cameron today to help make sure No.10 gets the message to Act on Poverty
