Just back from an amazing weekend at V2010. 14 volunteers worked hard to inform festival goers about the aims of Act on Poverty.

Over the weekend, Maria proved to be a dab hand at celebrity spotting – encouraging Eliza Doolittle, Steve Jones and Lissie to sign the petition. Maria also spoke on BBC Essex Sunday morning.

During the day, volunteers roved around the festival asking festival goers to sign a petition – part of CAFOD’s campaign to get 10,000 messages to David Cameron and the Government by 10.10.10 – and festival goers who visited the CAFOD stall could have a go at the coconut shy or play a game of jenga, in return for signing a card to Act on Poverty and posting through the life size No 10 door.
