Understanding CAFOD

Some 35 supporters, volunteers and prospective volunteers attended the Understanding CAFOD day at St Augustine’s Parish Hall, Barkingside.

They heard about the many aspects of CAFOD’s work including how we fundraise, how the money is spent and how we work, both in England and Wales and overseas.

Maurice McPartland, Head of Africa in the International Section, spoke about our work overseas.

There was a quiz about the history of CAFOD, an exercise to locate our offices on a world map and various other activities throughout the day. There was also a final opportunity to take part in the Act on Poverty campaign.
