Oscar Romero holds a special place in the hearts of the people of El Salvador. El Salvador is one of the Connect2 countries and our friends in the community of Puenticitos have sent us a prayer they say on the anniversary of Archbishop Romero’s assassination:

God, Father of All,
Who gave us your servant Oscar Romero,
As a faithful and watchful shepherd
Passionate lover of your Church
And of the poor and most needy
Grant us the knowledge to know
How to live according to the Gospel of your Son, Jesus
And make us worthy to glorify your servant Oscar.
Amen.
