All Saints Year 7s find out what it means to be a world citizen

Volunteer Peter Jones visited All Saints School in Dagenham earlier this week to talk about citizenship and how we are all part of Just One World. He was encouraged about how much the students knew about their world and CAFOD. There were lots of activities, included the World Statistics icebreaker featured in the photos.

The students were also encouraged to sign a letter to Andrew Mitchell MP, the Minister for Overseas Development, asking him to “get down to business” and put money into training, education and healthcare in poor countries to help more people in poverty run their own businesses; invest in infrastructures so poor producers can get to market to sell their goods; and to help small businesses form co-operatives so they have strength in numbers and can negotiate better conditions. You too can take action here >>
