120 Yr 9 students spent a morning finding out about CAFOD – including sessions on the Olympics, Water and taking part in the campaign Thirst for Change.
The students found out about CAFOD’s Lent Fast Day theme of Water and then looked at how the Olympic and Paralympics are about much more than sporting excellence but also include a set of principles – or values – that can be applied not only to sport but to education and to society.
The sessions were led by volunteers Peter and Joan.
Thank you to Mr Paul O’Hanlon for inviting CAFOD to visit Grays Convent.
