This year at the St Thomas of Canterbury parish, Woodford Green Christmas Bazaar, parishioners paid a £1 to buy a ‘World Gift Cow’ which provides four gifts in one for a struggling family.. It’s manure can help grow crops, it’s milk can supplement a family’s diet, plus any extra milk can be sold at market. Calves can also be passed on to another family.

Parish and office Volunteer David Underwood who organised the stall also sold Traidcraft Christmas Cards, World Gifts, CAFOD resources and parishioners had the opportunity to win an array of Fairtrade prizes on the wheel of fortune. David was helped by Brenda and Peter Sherlock.

Local artist and long time CAFOD supporter Bernadette Craft kindly sold some of her paintings giving CAFOD 75% of the profit.
