If you’re near St Bede’s parish, Bishops Avenue, Chadwell Heath, Romford, RM6 5RS on Sunday 22 February, drop in for a cake sale 9am-noon. We’re told there is an army of volunteers busily baking!
“My mum took up running around 3 years ago. She has always been into fitness and as myself and sister ran with our local club she decided she would give it a go, never thinking that she would run a marathon!!
Mum received her marathon place thanks to the Ilford Running Club whom she is a member of and chose to run for both CAFOD and a local charity of whom a friend of mine set up; The Annabelle Rose Foundation.
Prior to her training, her furthest distance was 13 miles (half marathon) and she has been very disciplined in getting out to do her training runs. She is very excited about doing the marathon and keen to raise a great amount for both charities!”
So let them eat cake this weekend!
Good luck Julia!
