Webinars with CAFOD are an amazing way to visit the countries we work in. You can hear from the people working on the ground who bring the projects you support to life. It’s not just about listening, you will also have the opportunity to ask our Uganda team questions and hear what other CAFOD supporters think too.
How does it work?
Taking part in a webinar is easy. All you need to do to is click on the link below and register with your name and email. You will then receive a confirmation email with a link you can use to join the webinar. In order to listen you will need either speakers or headphones.
If you’d like to join, but you aren’t sure how, email Elly on email@example.com or call 0207 095 5332.
Take time out to pray and reflect with us with our short animation.
Our faith helps to centre and ground us amid the pressures of everyday life: it roots us in Christ. Through fasting, prayer and reflection we can nurture those roots.

Reflection: Kieran O’Brien, CAFOD South Wales
This Harvest Fast Day (Friday 4th October), CAFOD asks you to make a place for families around the world who don’t have enough to eat.
Around the world, one in eight of all men, women and children go to bed hungry. There is enough food to feed everyone but the way it is grown, sold and distributed means that some of the world’s poorest people do not get their fair share.
CAFOD is asking you to put an extra pound aside after your weekly grocery shop or for children to save a small part of their pocket money and donate that money to CAFOD. These funds will then be shared with some of the poorest people in the world and make a long-term difference in the fight against global hunger.
Please make a place at your table and consider a regular gift to CAFOD
Proverbs 22:9 “Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor”
CAFOD’s patron Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor is encouraging people to take up CAFOD’s call to ‘Make a Place at your Table’, not just for Harvest but in the long term.
The Cardinal said:
“I’ve been privileged to visit some of the countries where CAFOD works. There I have sat and talked with people who, often due to circumstances beyond their control, struggle to provide for themselves and their families. It grieves my heart to see their God-given potential wasted and to watch how they have been excluded from the feast that God spreads for us all.
“Making a place at your table for our brothers and sisters around the world who face hunger and hardship is a powerful way to express our shared faith and to show God’s love in action.”
